SURAT: A sari businessmen’s wife was allegedly raped and blackmailed for the last four years by his employee, who also happens to be his distant relative.
Police detained the accused Satish Langadiya and booked him under relevant sections of rape, unnatural sex, extortion and others.
Fed up of his threats and blackmail, the woman lodged a complaint with Sarthana police on Tuesday.
The businessmen had employed Langadiya a few years ago since the latter happened to be a distant relative. He often sent him to house for various errands.
Langadiya raped businessman’s wife first time in 2018 and threatened her with dire consequences.
Later, he raped her several times and committed unnatural sex also with her. He also started extorting money from the woman by blackmailing her. When the businessmen noticed that the money he brought home for business purposes went missing and inquired with his wife, she always feigned ignorance out of fear.
Langadiya, who is also married with two children, started demanding money after which the woman could not take it any more.
Finally, she gathered courage and revealed everything to her husband and other family members.
The businessman took his wife to Sarthana police station to lodge a complaint.
