KKR vs SRH, IPL 2024 Final: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have got off to a great start in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final at the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday (May 26). SRH won the toss and chose to bat first. However, KKR were right on the money with Mitchell Starc dismissing Abhishek Sharma in the first over itself.

Even before SRH could start a recovery, Vaibhav Arora got rid of the other Hyderabad opener Travis Head for a golden duck. Starc returned to remove Rahul Tripathi to put Hyderabad completely on the backfoot. It was the wicket of Abhishek though that went viral instantly with the left-arm speedster getting one to swing late and hit the top of off stump.

While SRH would have hoped that birthday boy Nitish Kumar Reddy would come in handy with the bat after losing 3 wickets inside the powerplay itself, it wasn’t to be either with Nitish edging one to the keeper off a speedy delivery from Harshit Rana after three successive slower deliveries.
