The Meteorological Department has again issued a yellow alert for heavy rains in Haryana. Heavy rain has been warned in 4 districts Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar. The risk of spreading any disease or epidemic has increased in the flood affected areas. More than 20 thousand people are sick in 12 districts of the state. 4 thousand people are suffering from fever.

However, medical camps have been set up by the government in the flood-affected areas. So far 605 medical camps are being run by the government. There have been floods in 12 districts of the state, Ambala, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Palwal and Faridabad. The government has announced this.

Ghaggar’s devastation in Sirsa

The water level of Ghaggar river in Sirsa is continuously running above 50 thousand cusecs. In such a situation, along with Sirsa, Raniya, Ellenabad, 49 villages are already in danger. Now Rangoi drain has also increased this danger. In the last 24 hours, the Rangoi drain has been breached at six places. After the rupture of the Rangoi drain near village Sikanderpur, there has been water along the National Highway. At the same time, water from Fatehabad is also expected to reach Sirsa village. In this situation, the administration has kept 10 villages on the radar.

How much damage due to flood in which district
A list of flood-affected areas has been released in 12 districts, according to which maximum 315 places, 298 places in Ambala, 221 places in Kurukshetra have been flooded. Floods have damaged 128 places in Kaithal district, 94 places in Fatehabad and 84 places in Panchkula. 66 places in Karnal district, 54 in Faridabad, 32 in Palwal, 25 in Sonipat, 23 in Sirsa and 14 in Panipat have been declared flood affected.

5 days of rain caused havoc
The state received 110MM of rain during the monsoon season from July 8 to 12, which is 387 per cent of the normal of 28.4MM. Normal rainfall used to be 32.8MM in Yamunanagar, 32.9MM in Kurukshetra, 53MM in Panchkula and 58.5MM in Ambala, while this time these four districts have received 842, 814, 699, 514 percent of normal rainfall respectively. Neighboring states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab have also received extremely heavy rainfall. This created a flood-like situation in the state and worsened the general situation.
