Surat: Three persons drowned at Ubhrat beach on Friday. While one victim is from Vijalpore in Navsari, two others are from Sachin GIDC of the city. Among the deceased, Bhagirath Meghwal (22) and Dashrath Meghwal (20) went to spend time at the beach during the Holi festival. They went deep into the sea to swim and were swept away by gushing waters. Shubham Arande(20), a resident of Navsari, went to Ubhrat with family and friends when he drowned in the waters.
Bodies of all three persons were fished out by fishermen and police. They were shifted to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead. Registering a complaint of accidental death, the police started an investigation. tnn
