After firing, the terrorists fled from the spot. Deepu was later taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. At present, the police have registered the case and investigation is on. Immediately after the incident, the police started a search operation and increased the force in the area to nab the terrorists.

Former CM Mehbooba Mufti condemned the incident
Condemning the incident, former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti said, “Deeply saddened by yet another attack on an innocent civilian in Anantnag.” My thoughts are with the family in this hour of grief. This says a lot about the policy of the Government of India which has been a colossal failure in J&K.

In August last year, a migrant from Bihar was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district. Mohammad Amrej, a 19-year-old weaver from Madhepura in Bihar, was shot dead by terrorists.
