Terrorists killed in J&K’s Shopian; Rahul Gandhi to appear before ED for 3rd consecutive day; more

Two terrorists were gunned down in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian on Wednesday. One of the slain ultras was involved in the killing of a bank manager in Kulgam earlier this month, police said.

The terrorists, killed in the encounter which broke out in the Kanjiular area of Shopian, were identified as Jan Mohammad Lone and his associate Tufail Gunai. Both belonged to proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, according to Kashmir zone police.

Rahul Gandhi was questioned by the ED for over 10 hours on Tuesday, the second day of his appearance in the National Herald money-laundering case. He is all set to depose before the federal probe agency again today, June 15.
