Newborn twins abandoned in public toilet in Rajasthan | Udaipur News – Times of India

UDAIPUR: In a heart-breaking incident, newborn twins were found abandoned in a public toilet on National Highway-8 in Rajsamand on Wednesday.
Both girls were underweight. One girl was around 1 kg, while the other girl weighed 800 grams.
On Wednesday morning, when the sweeper came to clean the public toilet at Dhanin on Gomti-Udaipur Highway, he heard the crying sound of the babies.
When he went inside, he noticed the girls were wrapped in a blanket. The sweeper informed the toll control room who in turn informed the Kelwa police. They were admitted in a critical condition at RK Hospital in Rajsamand.
On information, the officials of the Child Welfare Committee also reached the spot.
The police is investigating the case and gathering information about the parents with the help of CCTV camera installed in the area.
