Grocery Store Owner Held For Murdering Salesman | Coimbatore News – Times of India

Namakkal: The Tiruchenngodu town police on Tuesday arrested a grocery store owner on charges of murdering a salesman who was working in his shop.
According to police, the owner of the store, Mohammad Seeni Fahkir35, found cash and a few grocery items missing in the store on March 10. He suspected that the salesman, Mohammed Wahid22, would have stolen the cash and grocery items.
Fahkir with his friend Thamin, 34, thrashed Wahid, who sustained severe injuries. Wahid was admitted to the Tiruchengode government hospital for treatment on the next day stating that he had consumed poison. “But Wahid informed police that the duo allegedly gave cool drinks laced with poison to him after beating him,” a police officer said.On Monday night, Wahid died without responding to treatment in the hospital. Based on a complaint lodged by Wahid’s parents, the Tiruchengode town police registered a case and arrested Fahkir. Thamin went missing on Monday.
