Goa: Light rain likely for next 2-3 days, says IMD | Goa News – Times of India

PANAJI: With the formation of a weak trough near Goa on March 17, there is the possibility of an increase in clouding and very light rain at one or two places over Goa for two to three days. The India meteorological department (IMD) observation revealed that this, however, is a very weak system which will not cause very significant amount of rainfall over the state.
“Highly localised light rainfall will prevail over Goa as a result of the weather situation. Cloudy conditions are most likely to prevail over the state,” IMD scientist Rahul M said.
After mild heatwave conditions prevailed on Monday, there was a drop of 3.3 degrees C in the maximum temperature in Panaji. IMD recorded 34.5 degrees C in Panaji on Tuesday. A fall in maximum and minimum temperatures by 1-2°C is likely during the next 24 hours as well.
“The humidity levels are expected to be higher in the coming days,” Rahul said.
