‘The whole world is passing through many challenges, the world needs not only economic or logical leaders but also spiritual leaders, who can create peace, harmony and sense of brotherhood in the whole world. All these qualities are present in our great leader Prime Minister Modi ji. Our Prime Minister himself is a Karmayogi. These words were spoken by the internationally renowned and revered Buddhist preacher Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, founder and president of Mahabodhi International Meditation Center (MIMC), Leh, Ladakh, at the conclusion of the Shanti Pad Yatra that started from Dharamshala and ended at the Shanti Stupa in Leh, Ladakh.
Speaking at the conclusion of a 34-day padyatra of 150 Buddhist monks and lay people for world peace, he further said that I personally feel that India is very fortunate to have a great leader in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Which links spiritual values like Yoga, Meditation and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to the general development of India and the world. We see complete leadership in him.
A 34-day padyatra of 150 Buddhist monks and lay people for world peace has come to an end.
Peace and harmony spread under the leadership of PM Modi
Monk Bhikkhu Sanghasena said- PM Modi has emerged as a global peace ambassador. The whole world is looking towards India and PM Modi to lead the world with ancient wisdom. India is spreading peace and harmony under the leadership of PM Modi. He said India played an active role as a peace-maker during the war between Russia and Ukraine. He is objectively concerned for all of humanity. He said that both Russia and Ukraine listened to PM Modi and respected his views.
Bhikkhu Sanghasena said that wherever PM Modi goes, he creates history. A testimony to this is his recent historic state visit to the United States of America where he opened new avenues for both the countries. The world is looking at him as a peace ambassador leading us towards peace and prosperity.
The Shanti Pad Yatra started from Dharamshala and ended at Shanti Stupa in Leh, Ladakh.
India is the motherland of Buddhism
The President of Thailand-based World Alliance of Buddhists (WAB), Dr. Ven. Pornchai Palavadhammo said that India is the motherland of Buddhism and Buddhism teaches peace. India and Thailand working together can bring peace to the world. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a powerful and popular figure and he understands and follows the teachings of Buddha.
He lauded PM Modi for acting as a peace-maker, referring to his positive role in establishing peace between Russia and Ukraine. Indian Minorities Foundation (IMF) Convener Satnam Singh Sandhu said that PM Modi during the last nine years has uplifted all the minorities of the country and also resolved their long pending issues. The long pending demand of the Buddhist community was finally fulfilled by PM Modi after 63 years. He took the historic decision to make Ladakh a separate Union Territory (UT), which opened the door for development in the region.
The welfare of minorities is at the core of the policy-making of PM Modi’s government. He has brought a new ray of hope to the minority communities, who were largely sidelined by the previous governments and were seen only as vote banks.
He also said that the minority communities always feel safe and prosperous under the leadership of PM Modi. Minority communities are now part of the overall development of India. The whole world appreciates the initiatives taken by PM Modi for the welfare of minority communities. His contribution to peace building and promoting a culture of peace is taking the teachings of Lord Buddha to every corner of the world.

The whole world wants to live in peace and harmony
Tenzin Nyima, Joint Secretary (Private) of All Ladakh Gonpa Association extended a warm welcome and appreciation to all the Buddhist monks and followers who are participating in the one month padyatra to promote and spread love and peace in the world. He said- The whole world wants to live in peace and harmony. Even Lord Buddha has given the message of having love and compassion towards each other, not hurting anyone and living together in unity. People from all over the world are giving the message of peace so we should also try to adopt it and contribute in making the world a better place to live in.
In today’s time youth are troubled and facing difficulty in controlling their mind. Buddha’s teachings can help them achieve peace of mind. He also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to promote the teachings and ideologies of Lord Buddha in the world and inspire people to practice them.
He said- PM Modi, who is playing an important role in establishing peace in the world, is a source of inspiration for all. Today, countries like Russia and Ukraine are at war with each other, so PM Modi is constantly trying to build relations and establish peace around the world and inspire other countries to do the same.

Ladakh Buddhist Association Leh- Youth Wing President Rigzin Dorje said- India, the land where Buddhism originated and which is home to the traditional and most important centers of Buddhist learning such as Nalanda which has always been dedicated to spreading the message of unity and peace Known for. Harmony in the world and in today’s world – where peace is the prime need of mankind – nations are at war with each other, Buddhist monks and followers in India are giving the message of peace.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has adopted the teachings and ideologies of Buddha and has taken many important steps to take them to the world. He has taken the practice and celebration of yoga to an international level, a great initiative to promote peace and harmony among all.

PM Modi took initiative to develop Buddhist centers in nine years
Sonam Wangchuk, spokesperson of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA), said- During the last nine years, PM Modi has taken several important initiatives to develop Buddhist centers in Ladakh and other parts of the country. His focus has been on the development of places associated with Lord Buddha, especially the development work done for the Buddhist Circuit.
He said that Prime Minister Modi has visited Ladakh several times and has shown his commitment towards the development of Buddhist centres. The entire Buddhist community is grateful to him for his initiative for Buddhist centers and for promoting the teachings of Buddhism.
Vishwashanti Padyatra is important for the whole world
Former President of All India Ladakh Compile Association Sanjay Namrota said that this Vishwashanti Padyatra is important not only for India but for the whole world. It is a matter of pride for us that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has emerged as a world peace ambassador. They are spreading the teachings of Mahatma Buddha very well all over the world. He said that fulfilling the long-standing demand of the Buddhist community, declaring Ladakh as a separate Union Territory, developing Bodh Gaya as an international destination, developing Buddha Circuit for the convenience of Buddhist pilgrims Prime Minister Modi’s unprecedented work.
It is important to understand the cultural aspects of Buddhism
Nadial Nind, who has been associated with a Buddhist organization for the last 11 years, said that it is important to bring the religion back to the birthplace of Buddha as it is the land where Buddhism originated but the history of Buddhism has been lost in India. He said that India is the country from where Buddhism started and spread all over the world, therefore it is very important for India to understand and maintain the cultural and spiritual aspects and values of Buddhism.
He said that everyone can help revive the essence of Buddhism in India by following and propagating the teachings of Lord Buddha together. She also revealed that she herself runs a YouTube channel to promote Buddhist teachings, ideologies and culture. Nadial expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the initiative to spread the teachings of Buddha not only within the country but across the world.
He said- After Prime Minister Modi came to power, the Buddhist community has received huge support from the Government of India and it is flourishing much more than the previous governments.
