Ahead of next year’s assembly elections in Maharashtra, the BJP and the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) are at loggerheads over an advertisement. Actually, Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena published an advertisement in newspapers on Tuesday in which CM Eknath Shinde was said to be more popular than Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.
After this advertisement, the issue of BJP’s displeasure came to the fore. It is also discussed that CM Shinde and Deputy CM Fadnavis have distanced themselves from each other’s programmes. In view of the increasing controversy, a new advertisement was released by the Maharashtra government on Wednesday, in which the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition government was described as the first choice of the people.

The Shiv Sena (Shinde) on Tuesday published massive advertisements in Mumbai newspapers claiming that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is more popular than BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Citing a survey, it has been claimed that 26.1% people of Maharashtra want to see Eknath Shinde and only 23.2% want Devendra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister.
The ad also claimed that 30.2% people of Maharashtra want to see BJP and 16.2% want to see Shiv Sena (Shinde) again in the government of Maharashtra.
Not only this, in this advertisement, the famous old BJP slogan ‘Narendra in Delhi, Devendra in Maharashtra’ has been replaced with a new slogan ‘Modi in the nation, Shinde in Maharashtra’ with big photos of Modi and Shinde.
