A priceless idol of Lord Vishnu made of Ashta metal weighing about 30 kg has been stolen from Dhosi Dham, a historical religious place in Narnaul in Haryana. 3 Laddu Gopal made of brass and another idol of Lord Vishnu have also been stolen from here. Police have registered a case against 5 persons including Ajay, Mohan, Ram Singh. It is alleged that they had stayed here on the pretext of worship and stole the idols and fled. The police have not been able to trace them so far.
Religious place of Chyawan Rishi
Let us tell that about 8 kilometers west of Narnaul city, there is a famous religious place of Chyawan Rishi on the hills of Dhosi. People come here from far and wide to see the image of Chyawan Rishi. In this Dhosi Dham, there was an Ashta metal idol of Lord Vishnu weighing about 30 kg, which has now been stolen. Regarding this, the chief of the Dham, Narsingh Das, in a complaint given to the Narnaul Sadar Police, said that he recites worship in the hill Chandra Kui Chyawan Shrimandir and is in the service of the Maharaja here since childhood.
Suspicion of theft on these people staying in the temple
Mahant told that on June 24, Ajay and Mohan residents of village police station, Ramsingh resident Maukhuta Bamanwas, a Jogi and Meena resident were present in Badgaon temple. Jogi and Meena came to him between 3-4 o’clock during the day. Ajay was staying in Bhargava temple in the name of worship. He also had Mohan, Ram Singh with him. Jogi and Meena already knew Ajay and went to Ajay before the idol was stolen. The Mahant says that he has full faith that these people have stolen about 30 kg idol of Ashta metal and 3 laddu gopal brass idols. One idol of Laddu Gopal weighed about a kilo and two other idols were smaller than this.
Threatened to Mahant
Mahant Narsingh Das told the police that after coming to know about the theft of the idol, he talked to Ajay, who was staying in the temple, then he threatened that if he told anyone about it, it would not be right for you. Along with Mahant, the people of the area Sumit, Rahul, Ravindra, Rohit, Sonu etc. have also appealed to the police to arrest the accused and recover the precious idol of Lord Vishnu’s Ashta metal and take strict action against the accused.
Case registered, accused absconding
Investigating officer Mukesh Kumari from police station Sadar Narnaul inspected the spot on the information of the theft of the idol of Ashta metal in Dhosi Dham. The details of the incident were taken from the Mahant and the people present around. Police have registered a case against Ajay, Mohan, Ram Singh and Jogi and Meena under section 457/380 IPC. The accused are absconding and the police are conducting raids in search of them.
The importance of this Dhosi Dham
The hill of Dhosi is considered to be the shrine of Maharishi Chyawan. It is believed that in this ashram he had manufactured the world famous medicine Chyawanprash. A huge fair is organized in the ashram on Somvati Amavasya. Great elements of Ayurveda are found in Dhosi hill. About 5100 years ago Pandavas also came here during their exile. The hill is called a volcano and even today solid lava can be seen on one side of the hill, which is millions of years old.
