Yogi was speaking at a program of entrepreneurs in the area of Textile Park at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow. He said- Before 2017, law and order in Uttar Pradesh was bad. The region was notorious for riots. There were many districts whose name people were afraid of. Today people need not be afraid of the name of the district.
700 riots happened in 5 years before 2017
He said- earlier there used to be riots every second-third day. Between 2012 and 2017, there were more than 700 riots. There were 364 riots between 2007 and 2012. There was not a single riot in UP between 2017 and 2023. There was no chance to impose curfew at any place. Uttar Pradesh guarantees the best law and order.
CM Yogi was speaking at the program of MoU at Lok Bhavan. Union Minister Piyush Goyal was also present in the program.
Earlier UP had 2 stigmas, now security is guaranteed
Yogi said- Earlier there were two stigmas of UP as well. The border of UP used to start from where the potholes were visible. We have added inter state connectivity with four lanes. In UP, excellent connectivity was provided to West and Bundelkhand through expressways. UP guarantees your safety as well as the safety of your capital.”
Piyush Goyal said – both the picture and character of UP changed
Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the pair of PM Modi and CM Yogi has worked beyond imagination for Uttar Pradesh. Today both the picture and the character of UP have changed. What is discrimination in development works, the people of Uttar Pradesh know very well.
Till 2017, the people of UP have faced this discrimination. Today, when the double engine government is working, the changed picture of UP in six years is in front of all of us. Many governments have come and gone in UP. Everyone worked to fulfill their political interests.
