New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address The Davos Agenda virtual event on January 17 (Monday).
The event is scheduled to begin on January 17 and will conclude on January 21. It will feature heads of state and government, CEOs, and other leaders as they address critical challenges being witnessed in the world.

PM Modi will deliver a special address at The Davos Agenda virtual event at 4:00 PM CET (8:30 PM IST) on January 17.
Besides PM Modi, several other world leaders will deliver Special Addresses at the virtual event. Some prominent names include António Guterres, Secretary-General, United Nations; Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General, World Health Organization (WHO); Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan; Scott Morrison, Prime Minister of Australia; Naftali Bennett, Prime Minister of Israel; Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia; Janet L. Yellen, Secretary of the Treasury of the United States; Yemi Osinbajo, Vice-President of Nigeria.
“The Davos Agenda virtual event offers the first global platform of 2022 for world leaders to come together to share their visions for the year ahead,” the World Economic Forum stated.
The conversations will focus on critical collective challenges across several key areas such as Climate action, Pandemic recovery, Economic and social resilience, and Global cooperation.
According to the WEF, the event will also mark the launch of several initiatives including “efforts to accelerate the race to net-zero emissions, ensure the economic opportunity of nature-positive solutions, create cyber resilience, strengthen global value chains, build economies in fragile markets through humanitarian investing, bridge the vaccine manufacturing gap and use data solutions to prepare for the next pandemic”.
Talking about The Davos Agenda, Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, said: “Everyone hopes that in 2022 the COVID-19 pandemic, and the crises that accompanied it, will finally begin to recede. But major global challenges await us, from climate change to rebuilding trust and social cohesion. To address them, leaders will need to adopt new models, look long term, renew cooperation and act systemically. The Davos Agenda 2022 is the starting point for the dialogue needed for global cooperation in 2022.”
The event will be live-streamed across the World Economic Forum’s website and its social media platforms.
