NEW DELHI: Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi wrote to his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar last week, wishing him speedy recovery from Covid-19. While there was no official confirmation by Indian authorities, Chinese media reported Wang to have said “he would like to extend sincere sympathy to him and wish him a speedy recovery”.
Noting that China and India have helped each other and overcome difficulties together since the outbreak of Covid, Wang said he stands ready to work with Jaishankar to implement the key consensus reached by leaders of two countries, said a report by CGTN.
