In the video, the singer, known for Vida Karo, was seen trimming his nails with a nail cutter while singing, which some found unprofessional. Shared by fan pages on quite a few social media platforms, the video shows Arijit wearing a grey shirt with an orange cloth tied around his head as he performs at a concert in Dubai.
Reacting to this video, a user commented, “He should have thought about it before going on stage. So unprepared to play the guitar.” Another wrote, “I play guitar too…come on he’s apparently flown to another country for what looks like a packed place to play live, he shouldve checked his nails .. this is silly !!” A few users defended the singer. “He did that so that he could tap through his guitars a lil better I think,” read a comment. A recent video on social media showed Arijit at another concert in Dubai. He didn’t realize that actor Mahira Khan was in the front row until later. He then gave her a shoutout and apologised. Mahira later took to social media and write a sweet note for the singer. “I wasn’t meant to be here for this.. but.. I guess I was. You know what I mean? What a pleasure it is to watch an artist perform.. whirling in joy, surrounded by love. But more than that, it’s beautiful when you see humility in an artist.. because he knows, it isn’t him.. he’s just been blessed from up above. Stay blessed @arijitsingh Wah,” read the caption.
Arijit Singh recently sang the song Vida Karo from Imtiaz Ali’s film “Amar Singh Chamkila.” The biopic drama, which premiered on Netflix last month, tells the story of the Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila, who was fatally shot along with his wife, Amarjot.
