Kanpur: In Kannauj, a teenager allegedly shot the village head’s husband with the help of his friend.
She has alleged that she is being stalked and asked to have sex for the last two years.
The incident came to light on Tuesday when the girl confessed to killing the village head’s husband Sumer (name changed) after his arrest.
Sumer (50) was allegedly shot dead at the girl’s house on the night of June 20.
Sumer’s sons have accused the girl’s friend of killing her father in the FIR.
The girl alleges that Sumer was stalking her for the last two years and asking her to have sex.
“Sumer used to follow me and ask me to have sex. Once he even tried to break my dignity. When I protested, he started harassing me and my friend. He also molested my sister.
Fearing social stigma, she never disclosed about her harassment to anyone and also fearing that her family members would be harmed by Sumer because she had a criminal background, she told the police, “That was a murder.” was accused of and his terror reigned supreme in the region.”
Frustrated, the girl and her friend decided to kill him. He had also told his other siblings that he had decided to kill Sumer.
On June 20, the girl’s mother called Sumer and invited her to her home on the pretext of solving the matter with her daughter.
Police said, “When Sumer was sitting and talking to her mother, the girl shot her with a country-made pistol and fled to Farrukhabad along with her friend.”
“Police managed to arrest him and his friend from Farrukhabad on Tuesday. The country-made pistol used by the girl to commit the murder was provided by her friend. We have recovered the firearm from the girl’s house,” said the police.
SSP Kannauj Prashant Verma said, “Police have arrested the girl and registered a case under section 302. Her friend and his associate have also been arrested on charges of conspiracy.”
