The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) is set to administer a Preliminary Qualifying Examination (PET) on October 28 and 29. As the examination date approaches, the UPSSSC has issued a set of guidelines that candidates must adhere to during the examination.

Here are the key details and guidelines for the upcoming PET examination:

Admit Card Availability: The admit cards for the PET examination were made available on October 19, with the last date for downloading being October 29. Candidates can access their admit cards through the official website.

Examination Centers: The PET is scheduled to take place in 35 districts across Uttar Pradesh. Approximately 20 lakh students are expected to participate in this examination.

Essential Documents: Candidates must ensure they have their downloaded admit card, a valid photo identity proof, and a passport-sized photograph with them when entering the exam hall.

Permitted Items: While in the examination hall, candidates are allowed to bring water bottles.

Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, digital clocks, jewellery, and any other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited within the exam centre.

Dress Code: Male candidates should wear half-sleeved outfits and are required to tie their hair with a simple band, without using any stylish bands or clips.

Writing Instruments: Candidates may only bring black or blue pens for the examination. Rough work paper will not be provided.

Examination Shifts: The PET examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift runs from 10 am to 12 pm, and the second shift commences at 3 pm, concluding at 5 pm.

Question Format: The PET test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. It’s important to note that negative marking is applicable in the examination. The syllabus for the test covers topics like General Science, Social Science, Geography, the Indian Constitution, the Indian Economy, and the History of India.
