According to Registrar Vinay Kumar Singh, 5 students of Lord Buddha Hostel, Tanuj Gangwar, Durgesh Chaurasia, Vishal Rajput, Shrestha Dwivedi and Harsh Pandey, were expelled from the university campus and hostel for two months with immediate effect.
At the same time, disciplinary action will be taken against Electronics II year students Nitesh Singh, Ujjwal Singh, Computer Science II year student Ankit Singh after investigation. Apart from this, external students Pankaj Bhardwaj, Ankit Srivastava, Vijay Rana have been completely banned from entering the university campus till further orders.
Four engineering students were injured in the attack. Among them are Zeesham and Deepak Verma. He has an injury on his head.

Sanskar, a B.Tech 1st year student said “I am staying outside the university hostel. Seniors of Lord Buddha hostel call me at night for ragging. They abuse me. I told my HOD. Then I said that we live outside, do not give intro in hostel Will come. Because, they call hostels and do ragging by sitting for 5-5 hours in the name of intro.”

University accused of favoritism
