There was a ruckus in Allahabad University on Monday afternoon. 6 students were injured in this. Student leader Vivekanand Pathak was stopped by security personnel from entering the university. After this there was a violent clash between the police and the students. The students also pelted stones at the police. Within hours the university campus turned into a camp.
The matter got out of control. The police also had to open fire to disperse the crowd. As soon as the information was received, DM Sanjay Kumar Khatri, Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma along with the police force reached the spot. Police of the entire district has been called in view of the students’ protest.
The entire campus has been converted into a cantonment. While injured student leader Vivekanand Pathak is sitting on hunger strike in the blood-soaked campus. They say that they will get the medical done, but will not get the treatment done until the guards who beat them up are arrested.
Vandalized many places by forming a herd
The university administration issued a statement saying that some miscreants tried to break the lock of the university gate. Misbehaved and assaulted the security personnel on being stopped. After this, the miscreants formed a herd and ransacked and set fire to the premises. This created an atmosphere of fear and chaos in the campus.
The students set ablaze 15-20 vehicles.
The miscreants are not the students of the University. The miscreants set a motorcycle on fire. The glasses of the car of 2 teachers were broken, a generator was set on fire. University canteen set on fire. Along with this, they were also firing.

Students pelted stones fiercely, due to which the glasses of many vehicles were broken.
Student leader Vivekanand Pathak was going in his car to SBI Bank inside the university. Only then the gate pass security personnel stopped. To this Vivekananda said, “I am the student leader, don’t stop me.” A long debate started between Vivekananda and the security personnel on this matter. It is alleged that the security personnel beat Vivekananda badly. During this he got hurt a lot.

Vivekananda Pathak says, “My account is in the SBI branch of the university. I came for KYC. When I asked the guard to open the lock, he misbehaved with me. Then he came armed with his companions. I was sitting with my friends, then attacked me. Firing too. Somehow my life was saved.

Earlier, the students of Holland Hall Hostel of Allahabad Central University created a ruckus. Students thrashed a cafe operator over a minor argument. Dozens of students thrashed the operator of Sutta Bar Cafe located in front of Anand Bhawan of the University. The cousin of the cafe operator suffered serious injuries in the fight.
The entire University campus has been converted into a cantonment.
