The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2023 exam today, December 6. According to the schedule released by NTA, the UGC NET 2023 December exam will last till December 14. Moreover, the exam will be conducted in two shifts. For the first shift, candidates must reach the examination hall by 8:30 AM and by 2:30 PM for the second shift.

It is important to note that those appearing for the exam must carry their UGC NET admit card 2023 along with a valid photo ID proof for verification. If a candidate has not yet downloaded the UGC NET 2023 admit card, they can visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in and download it online.

UGC NET 2023 Exam: Documents To Be Carried

Candidates must make sure that the ID proof they carry to the examination centre is the same one they used to fill out the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) application form. Along with the UGC NET exam admit card 2023, candidates must also bring a valid photo ID for identity proof.

The photo ID that the candidates carry must be the same photo ID submitted at the time of filling out the application form. Furthermore, PWD category candidates claiming relaxation must also bring a PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority.

Here is the list of documents that are considered valid forms of ID proof:

— Photo ID Card issued by Central or State Government/ID Card

— University/College

— Employee ID card

— Driving License

— Aadhaar Card

— Voter ID Card

— PAN Card

— Passport

Talking about the official exam pattern 2023 released by the National Testing Agency, both paper 1 and paper 2 have MCQ-based questions with no negative marking. Paper 1 will carry a total of 100 marks, whereas Paper 2 is held for a total of 200 marks, with each question carrying 2 marks. The UGC NET exam 2023 will be held online for a duration of 3 hours.

Candidates can choose subjects including political science, geography, philosophy, law, commerce, history, Indian culture, and many more in Paper 2. On the other hand, Paper 1 is the same for all students. It is concerned with general awareness of the learning process when it comes to teaching abilities and higher education.
