‘There is no party except Trinamool in Bengal’, Saugata Roy strongly attacked the BJP delegation

Fact finding team has come to see injured workers in BJP’s Navanna Abhiyan programme. Even Central Observer Sunil Bansal is visiting the injured workers from house to house. Trinamool Congress MP Sougat Roy sneered at the delegation that came to Bengal. The veteran Trinamool Congress MP has even attacked them as political tourists.

What exactly did the Trinamool Congress MP say? Today, on Sunday, Saugata Roy said, “He is going to see those who are injured in the party. But he is not going to see the injured police personnel. Actually those who came from BJP have no idea about Bengal. There is no party here except Trinamool Congress. Those who came are political tourists. Come, see and leave.’

How did Saugata attack? On this day, the elected Trinamool Congress MP from Dum Dum Lok Sabha Constituency dragged the name of Uttar Pradesh-Lakhimpur to attack the BJP delegation. He said, ‘BJP’s delegation came to Bengal and made some objectionable comments. They say jungle rule is going on in West Bengal. But they are not talking about the fact that two women were raped and killed in Uttar Pradesh-Lakhimpur.’

What did he say about the Titagarh blast? Saugata Roy said about the Titagarh school bomb blast, ‘Unfortunate incident. No one was harmed due to school holidays. The police have arrested four people. But the opposition leader has written to the home minister seeking an NIA probe. What do you say? Sougat Roy said in response, ‘That letter is of no importance. The NIA can only conduct investigations against the Terrorist Act on the orders of a court. Law and order is a matter of the state.’
