The cost of fruit is two and a half lakhs per month! ED’s forehead folds after investigating the Perth case

His appearance says he is a foodie. Everyone knows that. But many people don’t know that he had a lot of fruits in his diet. When ED arrested him and investigated him, the officers frowned. Yes, he is the one-time state minister Partha Chatterjee. The eyes of the ED officials rose to their foreheads after learning about his Rasnabilas exploits. Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials were stunned when the cost of this fruit came to light.

What exactly happened? According to the sources, Partha Chatterjee’s fruit consumption is around two and a half lakh rupees per month. Fruits used to come from the New Market to his house on the ground floor. The former minister used to tell what fruits to eat. The daily fruit bill was 7 to 8 thousand taka. The ED officers have launched an investigation to find out more details about this information. In this way, they think that the black money of SSC recruitment corruption was whitened. So now they will talk to the fruit sellers.

What else is known? According to ED sources, ED custody of Partha Chatterjee and Arpita Mukherjee ends tomorrow, Wednesday. The ED officers want to keep the two in custody for some more time. For that reason, consultation is going on with the lawyers about what new cases or clauses can be added against them.

It may be noted that a case of corruption in the state’s DLLD colleges has also come before the ED officials. These colleges are required to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the State Education Department every year. Otherwise the registration is cancelled. Various UGC grants were also stopped. The ED claimed that the colleges had to pay Rs 8 lakh for this NOC. It is being investigated.
