There was a huge crowd on Christmas from Vatican City to Park Street. The crowd of book and culture lovers gathering in the book fair is nothing in front of it. Although the 22nd Kharagpur Book Fair will be organized completely following the Corona rules.

This was stated by Devashish Chaudhary, Secretary, Kharagpur Book Fair Committee. To give detailed information regarding this book fair held from 2 to 10 January, the second press conference was organized by the committee on Sunday. On this occasion Prof. A large number of people including Tapan Kumar Pal and Padmakar Pandey were present.

Amidst the preparations for the ongoing book fair at the Town Hall, the venue of the event, Chaudhary said that this time the fair is going to be held in very challenging conditions. The biggest difficulty was due to the closure of roads due to the construction of flyovers between the fear of corona and omicon infection.

On the appeal of book lovers, the railways have arranged an alternate route, for which we are grateful to the railway administration. It was told by the organizers that the same tableau of art and culture will be seen in the 10-day wide book fair, as it happens every year. There will also be a Hindi and Comedy Kavi Sammelan. This time the corporate houses have shown interest in doing social work related work. By providing them a proper platform, on January 9, about one thousand blankets will be distributed among the needy. In the closing ceremony on January 10, eminent singer Anuradha Paundwal will present the program on the stage.
