Telangana: Congress demands notifications to fill up over 1.91 lakh vacancies | Hyderabad News – Times of India

HYDERABAD: The Congress has demanded that the TRS government immediately issue notifications to fill up over 1.91 lakh vacancies in various departments and that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao fulfil his electoral promise of giving Rs. 3,016 monthly allowance to all jobless youth in the state.
Telangana Congress president A Revanth Reddy on Sunday condemned the attack on Youth Congress workers by the ruling TRS members when the former tried to submit memorandum copies to local MLAs on the unemployment issue.
“Youth Congress members were arrested and implicated in police cases for raising their voice against rising unemployment. The ruling party members got angry when the Congress activists exposed the fact that job notifications were not issued in the last seven years and the promise of Rs 3016 unemployment allowance remained unfulfilled,” Revanth said.
The TPCC president alleged that TRS members attacked Youth Congress workers when they went to submit a petition to local MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy. In Jadcherla, the local police personnel broke the leg of Youth Congress member Srinivas Naik when an attempt was made to submit a memorandum on the unemployment issue. Instead of maintaining law and order, some policemen are trying to help the ruling party,” he alleged.
The Congress will not succumb to these pressure tactics of the ruling TRS and will only intensify its agitation for the cause of unemployed youth, Revanth said and demanded withdrawal of cases registered against Youth Congress members and their immediate release.
The TPCC chief has directed the party leaders and cadre to intensify the digital membership drive of the Congress in each of the 17 Parliamentary constituencies to achieve the 30 lakh membership target. “Enrol at least 100 members in each polling booth. The AICC leadership is serious about the digital membership drive and those with good performance would have a bright future in the party,” he said.
TPCC chief Revanth called upon the STs to bring Congress to power in Telangana and promised that it will ensure that the Tribal children developed on par with the rest of the society. He was addressing a meeting after attending the Nagoba festival in Keslapur village of Adilabad district and performing a special pooja. He recalled that the Congress conducted a massive public meeting at Indravelli with the support of Tribal youth. All the STs can approach him without any hesitation whenever they need any help.
