Superintendent of Tihar Jail suspended: Kejriwal accused of giving VIP treatment to Minister Satyendar Jain, ED complained

Satyendra Jain was arrested by the ED on May 30.

Superintendent of Tihar Jail Ajit Kumar has been suspended for giving VIP treatment to Aam Aadmi Party minister Satyendar Jain in Delhi. Let us tell you that last month, the ED had alleged that Satyendra Jain was being provided with all facilities like head massage, foot massage and back massage in Tihar Jail. The investigating agency had also submitted a CCTV footage to the court.

The investigating agency had further said in the affidavit – the jail superintendent goes against the rules and meets Satyendra Jain, he goes to ask him whether the minister has any problem in the jail.

DG was changed a week ago
A week ago i.e. on November 4, the Director General of Tihar Jail was also changed. Sanjay Beninal was made Jail DG by removing the then Jail DG Sandeep Goyal after he was accused of giving protection to thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Sukesh had alleged that Goyal had taken Rs 10 crore in lieu of security, in which Satyendar Jain was also involved.

Satyendra Jain is in jail for 6 months
Delhi government’s Jail and Health Minister Satyendar Jain was arrested by the ED on May 30. Jain has been lodged in Tihar Jail since then. His bail plea is being heard in the Delhi High Court. Recently, a thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who was lodged in Mandoli jail, had made many allegations against Jain by writing a letter.
