Skin Expert Decodes Reasons for Acne on a Particular Spot

Following a rigorous skincare routine makes the person finicky about the ongoing issue with their skin. And even after spending more than we desire on those so-called promising products, if acne pops up on the skin it brings disappointment. While we quickly indulge in finding a cure for that pesky bump on our skin, it is even more crucial to know the reason for you getting frequent acne. Addressing the same, Skin & wellness doctor Kiran Sethi dropped a series of pictures on her official Instagram account, wherein she shared a face map to decipher what your breakouts are trying to tell you. She titled her post, “What is your Acne telling you, face mapping.”

While posting a series of pictures she penned down a lengthy note in the caption to explain the same. Dr Kiran began by saying, “Breakouts are a bummer. We all know the feeling (shock, despair, even awe) of spotting an angry zit on an otherwise flawless complexion. Before you raise your fists to the sky and desperately demand “Why me?!” take a breath.” She added that there is more to breakouts than what meets the eye – and where they appear on your face can be the key to stopping them for good. For those who don’t know, Acne face mapping is one of the traditional Chinese medicinal practices. It helps in finding out the internal factors that may trigger acne on a particular spot on your face.

Following this very procedure, Dr. Kiran decoded various reasons that must be tackled first in a bid to get rid of acne on a particular area of your face. Witnessing acne on the forehead and nose is possible due to stress, improper digestion, irregular sleep, poor diet, dandruff in hair, the chemical in hair care products, or touching the area with unclean hand. Dr. Kiran added acnes in the eyebrow areas can be linked to the ingrown hair, diet, water intake or gallbladder issues. If you are experiencing acne on the cheeks then it is due to a “dirty pillowcase, makeup brushes, or cellphones.”

Experiencing acne around the hairline can be due to the presence of “pomades in your hair care products.” If any person has acne on the ear then it is basically because of “stress, Bacteria build-up, hormonal imbalance, or allergic reaction to cosmetics of hair care products.” Whereas reasons for having acne on the jawline or chin can be “hormonal imbalances or diet” as per the health expert.
