Sonali’s daughter Yashodhara had announced the handing over of Sonali’s political legacy to her aunt Rukesh Poonia, presiding over the Sarv Khap Panchayat, on 24 September in Hisar’s Jat Dharamshala. Yashodhara said that she is still a minor and her aunt Rukesh is her well-wisher, so she hands over her mother’s political legacy to her. Family is raising doubts on Kuldeep

Sonali Phogat had entered the election on a BJP ticket in the 2019 assembly elections. Kuldeep Bishnoi had contested the elections on a Congress ticket. Sonali Phogat was not ahead of Kuldeep Bishnoi in any round in the election. Kuldeep Bishnoi won by margin of 29 Thousand 471 votes.

Sonali Phogat died on 23 August in Goa. He was accompanied by his PA Sudhir and Sukhwinder in Goa at that time. Sonali’s family alleges that Sudhir and Sukhwinder have murdered her. Sudhir wants to grab Sonali’s property. So he has killed Sonali by giving drugs.
Sonali’s brother Rinku filed a complaint with the Goa Police for murder against Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder. Sonali’s post-mortem report shows injury marks on her body. Based on this report, Goa Police registered a case of murder against Sonali’s PA Sudhir Sangwan and his accomplice Sukhwinder. Five people including the owner of the resort and the drug supplier have been arrested in the case. The CBI is now investigating the case.
Enrollment will start in Adampur from October 7
Notification for Adampur by-election will be issued on 7 October. Enrollment will start from this day itself. The last date for nomination will be October 14. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on October 15. Nominations can be withdrawn till October 17. Voting will take place on November 3 and the counting of votes will take place on November 6. The election process will end on November 8.
