The Congress has started searching for a winning candidate for the Adampur assembly seat by-election. The party has formed a 5 member committee for this. The committee itself will put the final seal on the name of the party’s candidate. On which the approval of the Congress High Command will be taken. Currently 3 names are in discussion. In which the name of Sampat Singh is at the forefront.
Kuldeep Bishnoi won from Adampur seat in the 2019 elections on a Congress ticket. He resigned from the post of MLA some time back. Now he has left Congress and joined BJP. Kuldeep Bishnoi from BJP is a strong contender for the ticket.
These can be the faces of Congress
Among the 3 names that are being discussed in the Congress, the name of senior Congressman Sampat Singh is at the top. The name of Jaiprakash at number two and Pradeep Beniwal, who is close to Bhajan Lal at number three, is also included. Apart from these, the name of farmer leader Kurdaram Numberdar is also being taken.
Pradeep Beniwal was recently inducted into Congress by Bhupendra Hooda.

He will also report to the Congress high command after ascertaining the ground reality of the ticket claimants.

Aam Aadmi Party is also churning about the candidate. According to sources, AAP is eyeing Bhajan Lal’s close friends. The reason for this is his base in Adampur assembly constituency.
