New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing political stir in Maharashtra continues to peak with Naresh Mhaske, an ally of Eknath Shinde, resigning from his position as Thane district president of the Shiv Sena on Saturday in protest at the “attitude” of MVA constituent NCP. However, he made it clear that he will always be a Shivsainik.

The former mayor of Thane said in a letter to Sena head Uddhav Thackeray that Shivsainiks felt (politically) “suffocated” as a result of “Rashtravadi” (NCP) during the last two and a half years.

“I am resigning as the Thane district president of Shiv Sena but will continue to remain a shivsainik forever,” he said in a letter.

However, BJP sources have said that Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde did not meet.
