Sharman Joshi revealed why he used to have nightmares about Prem Chopra after he married his daughter Prerana Chopra.

Sharman Joshi is one of the finest actors in Hindi cinema. Whether it’s comedy films like Golmaal and 3 Idiots or serious ones like Rang De Basanti and Hate Story 3, the actor has managed to impress everyone with his acting chops. Sharman Joshi is also married to Prem Chopra’s daughter Prerana Chopra. The actor has recalled in a recent interview that he was scared to date the veteran actor’s daughter.
During a freewheeling conversation on the podcast Timeout With Ankit, Sharman Joshi recounted the first time he laid eyes on Prerana Chopra, “When I saw her for the first time, I asked my friend who is this girl sitting on the last bench?” the actor stated.
He further recalled, “I think Prerna was destined to have someone as wonderful as me in her life…, she lucked out. She got married to me but mujhe Prem ji ke nightmares aate the. (I used to have nightmares about Prem Ji). I was very worried about how her dad’s reaction would be but mom’s was more fierce than dad’s. He is a wonderful guy, he is a gentleman.”
Meanwhile, Sharman Joshi and Sahil Khan, who shot to fame with their comedy film Style and Xcuse Me, are all set to share screen space once again in a yet-untitled film. Sharman and Sahil first joined hands in 2001 and later in 2003. Their new film is all set to roll and will also mark the launch of a new actress. It will be shot extensively in Abu Dhabi.
Speaking of the collaboration, actor Sharman Joshi said earlier this year, “With the film all ready to roll, I am absolutely excited. The films that Sahil and I did earlier brought about a lot of appreciation for the chemistry we shared on screen. It was our first commercial hit that was seen by Raju Hirani sir too, who then signed me for 3 Idiots.”
