Sharad Pawar said – I am not tired, how is retirement: After the split in the party, went on a state tour; Will hold first rally in Nashik today

Sharad Pawar had said on the day of the rebellion that he would roam across Maharashtra to unite the workers and create public opinion.

After the rift in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), party president Sharad Pawar has left for the state tour. Pawar will hold a public meeting at Yeola in Nashik on Saturday. Before leaving Nashik, Pawar told the media that he was neither tired nor retiring.

His nephew and the leader of the rebel faction of NCP, Ajit Pawar had said two days back that Saheb has reached his age, now he should bless us by taking retirement. Pawar had then said that he would make the party stand again. I will once again visit the whole of Maharashtra.

Sharad Pawar had met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on 6 July. Pawar will also attend the meeting of opposition parties to be held in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18.

Sharad Pawar will rebuild the party
NCP leader Jitendra Awan said that Sharad Pawar will meet the people and rebuild the party. We are standing with them. Party spokesperson Mahesh Tapase told that Sharad Pawar will be welcomed at many places including Thane, Bhiwandi, Igatpuri on the way.

The party has told that where Sharad Pawar will go after Yeola, it will be decided according to the monsoon. In fact, earlier they were going to visit Dhule and Jalgaon along with Nashik, but the decision was postponed due to the yellow alert for rain in both these districts. Pawar’s further visits will also be decided according to the monsoon.

Sharad said – I am the president of the party, age does not matter
Sharad Pawar said after the NCP executive meeting in Delhi on Thursday – I am the president of the party. I don’t know who is saying what. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says. There is no truth in his claims. NCP will approach the Election Commission on the issue of party name and symbol. When Pawar was asked a question about retirement, he said that whether it is 82 or 92, age does not matter. I will rebuild the party.

Only posters of Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule were put up in the Delhi meeting. The youth wing of the party also put up posters with the words ‘traitor’ at many places.

Sharad had said – will create public opinion by roaming around Maharashtra
After the rebellion of Ajit Pawar on July 2, Sharad Pawar had said – I had formed this party. I have full faith in the party workers. I will unite the workers by roaming around Maharashtra. After that, I will create public opinion among the people. It will be my job to reorganize and I will do it together with the workers.

What will be the role of the party going forward, I will tell after talking to the leaders of the party. It is more important whether you have the support of the people or not. I am sure that if we go to the people, they will come with us.
