Mahesh Babu has caused a significant buzz in the entertainment world with his much-anticipated film Guntur Kaaram, written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The shooting is underway and it will hit the big screens on January 12, 2024. Now, another report related to Guntur Kaaram is out, which has raised the enthusiasm regarding its release further. There are reports that Shah Rukh Khan is likely to act in the film. Reportedly, he will have a cameo in the climax of the film. According to reports, the entire second half will be based on Shah Rukh Khan’s character. More details regarding his character and how it will be incorporated into the storyline of the film are awaited. Neither Shah Rukh Khan, nor Guntur Kaaram’s team has confirmed this yet.
Guntur Kaaram also dominated the headlines after producer Dil Raju bagged its distribution rights in the Nizam territory. As per reports, Dil Raju has bought these rights for Rs 45 crore. The Nizam territory is quite integral for the business of the Telugu film industry. As per the reports, more than 50 per cent of the Telugu film industry’s revenue is generated from Nizam. Some social media users will surely be surprised by this sudden turn of events by Guntur Kaaram’s production house, Sithara Entertainments. Initially, there were rumours that Sithara Entertainments was not inclined to grant distribution rights of Guntur Kaaram to Dil Raju.
According to reports, Dil Raju already submitted a proposal to bid for the film’s Nizam rights, despite Sithara Entertainment’s apprehensions. Reportedly, he made an offer of Rs 42 crore for the Guntur Kaaram’s Nizam distribution rights. This sum demonstrates Raju’s immense faith and confidence in collaborating with Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram.
According to reports, Guntur Kaaram’s director Srinivas is also planning to include an item song in the film. The reports of the item song come as a surprise, as Trivikram’s earlier films never had one. His film largely revolves around family audiences. This time, however, speculations are rife that Srinivas is venturing into making a full-fledged mass commercial film.
