Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Jawan Beats Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Advance Booking

New Delhi: One of the most anticipated films of the year is ‘Jawan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan. On Friday, September 1, the makers started taking advance bookings all throughout the nation as everyone eagerly awaits the film. In less than 24 hours, ‘Jawan‘ reportedly surpassed Salman Khan starrer ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ in terms of total bookings.

The film starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Atlee is slated to be released on September 7. Given the huge number of tickets sold, the movie is expected to have a blockbuster opening. As per India TV reports, early estimates indicate that Jawan possibly sold as many as 2,55,153 seats for the Hindi 2D screening on Friday. 

11,261 tickets have been pre-purchased for the Hindi IMAX show. In Delhi-NCR alone, the Hindi version has already made Rs. 1.12 crore. In comparison to the Hindi version, the Tamil version only sold 3,754 tickets. In addition, 1008 tickets for the Telugu version of the movie were sold. On Day 1 of its advance sale, ‘Jawan’ sold a total of 2,71,176 tickets.

On Friday, advance ticket sales for the film began at 10 a.m. According to DNA, by 3 pm on the same day, 1.18 lakh tickets worth Rs 4 crore had been sold. In all three of the major multiplex chains, ‘Jawan’ sold 1,24,000 tickets.

The movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which was released earlier this year, sold tickets for Rs 3.39 crore. ‘Pathaan’, a spy thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, had the largest advance take of any Hindi movie at Rs 32 crore. 

Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, and Yogi Babu are all featured in the movie ‘Jawan’. Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh’s Pathaan co-star, also makes a special appearance. Red Chillies Entertainment, which is owned by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, produced the movie.
