Violence erupted in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area after stone-pelting on Hanuman’s birth anniversary procession. After the incident near Kushal Cinema, there has been fierce stone pelting between the two communities and there have been reports of firing. The Delhi Police tried to control the riots, but many of its employees were also injured. The miscreants also set fire to shops and vehicles after pelting stones. There is an atmosphere of tension in the entire area, which additional forces have been deployed to control.

During the violence, Delhi Police personnel were also injured in stone pelting by the mob, who have been admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital.
