SC hearing on Ram Navami violence case today: Demand to recover damages from miscreants on the lines of UP

A petition was filed in the Supreme Court regarding the violence during the Ramnavami procession in some states of the country, on which the court will hear today i.e. on March 17. This petition was filed by the Hindu Front for Justice.

The organization said in the petition that these riots were already planned. In the petition, the court has been demanded to summon the report from the chief secretaries of the violence-affected states. Along with this, a demand has also been made to recover the damages caused to the injured people and their property in the violence.

The petitioner says that on the lines of UP, the damages caused in the violence should be recovered from the miscreants only.

Let us tell you that on March 30, there was violence in West Bengal, Bihar, Gujarat, UP, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Telangana on Ram Navami.

There was a violent clash during the procession in Hooghly, Bengal. In which many vehicles were set on fire.

Violence between two communities in Bengal, 15 people injured
In Bengal’s Howrah and North Dinajpur districts, there was violence between two communities during the Ram Navami procession of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Stone pelting happened again in Shibpur of Howrah after 24 hours. About 15 people including three policemen were injured in this. More than 10 vehicles were burnt. More than 20 shops were ransacked.

Violence flared up again on Friday, a day after Ram Navami in Bengal and Maharashtra. The miscreants pelted stones at temples in Howrah and Sambhajinagar. Earlier on Thursday, reports of violence and arson were also reported in the states on the occasion of Ram Navami across the country.

Apart from this, incidents of stone pelting and arson were reported after clashes between two communities in Gujarat’s Vadodara, Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Jalgaon, West Bengal’s Howrah-Islampur and Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. Pictures of violence also came to the fore in Sasaram and Nalanda in Bihar. Firing has taken place in Biharsharif of Nalanda, in which 7 people have been shot. Stone pelting also took place in two groups. Bombs were also thrown at houses.
