The ED seized cash worth Rs 11.50 lakh from the residence of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday during the raid conducted in connection with the Patra chawl land scam case.
According to ED sources, Sanjay Raut was not cooperating with the ED officers. When the officers asked him to leave for the ED office, he told them that he was a sitting MP and sought time till August 7, sources said.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut’s brother, Sunil, refuted the allegations of the Rauts not cooperating with the central agency’s investigation.
“We have let them look into all corners of our house. Accusations of non-cooperation are false,” he said.
