JAISALMER: Bartender Aware police have busted a gang of vehicle lifters, arrested two people, and took a minor in custody. They have also recovered 10 motorcycles and a car. The masterminds of the gang had started stealing vehicles at the age of 16.
SP Deepak Bhargava said according to Sadar SHO Anil Kumar, Isha Khan, resident of Derasar, had on on December 26, lodged a case mentioning that his Bolero was stolen from Kurja Fanta on NH 68.
Bhargava said police caught a gang, including 23-year-old, Jagdish of Ghoneri Nadi Ramsar Ka Kua, 28-year-old Om Prakash of Lakhasar Sodiyar, and a minor.
The SP said police recovered a Bolero and 10 motorbikes, of which five bikes were stolen from the Kotwali police station area.
SHO Anil Kumar said Prakash and Jagdish were the masterminds. He said they had stolen 50 bikes from Kotwali, Sadar (rural), and Dhorimanna police station areas.
He said they had been arrested earlier, but they started stealing again. have arrested these culprits. Om Prakash had even stolen a motorbike of Dhorimanna police personnel, he added.
