Not only this, when the girl’s father and cousin reached the school with a complaint, they were beaten up. The incident, dated August 27, came to light five days later due to protests by villagers and blocking of roads.

The case is of a middle school in Zeromile OP area. The incident happened on Saturday 27th August. The local public representatives of the village and the school management tried their best to suppress the matter for 5 days. After this the anger of the villagers broke out and on Thursday, September 1, the villagers blocked NH-31 for 4 hours.

By registering an FIR, they protested demanding the arrest of the accused. The police, who swung into action, got the jam cleared by assuring action.

7 year old girl raped after finding her alone in toilet
According to information received from the victim’s family members, the girl had gone to the toilet on Saturday at the time of mid-day meal. Then the cleaning worker of the school, finding her alone there, closed the door and raped the victim. When another girl student of the school came towards the toilet, she found the door locked. After pushing hard on the door, the rapist left the victim and ran away. Seeing her friends, the victim was crying loudly.

On coming to know about the matter, two school teachers pacified the victim by feeding her biscuits and forbade her from giving any information about this to her parents. After this the girl left for home with her sister. On the way, her health deteriorated and she fell unconscious. His sister somehow brought him home.

The principal beat up the sweeper, said – will not do it now
The victim was so infatuated that she did not tell her parents about it. Later the girl told her sister-in-law about the wrongdoings done to her. The next day being a Sunday, the school was closed. After the school opened on Monday, the family members of the victim reached the school. Where instead of taking strict action, the headmaster called the accused to school and beat him up in front of the family members. Assured to settle the matter.

Teacher’s husband beats up victim’s father and cousin
The victim’s father and cousin, who reached the school on Thursday, was assaulted by the husband of a teacher already present there and tried his best to suppress the matter. Angered by this, villagers blocked NH-31. The police, who reached the spot after being jammed for about 4 hours, took action and took 2 people into custody.

Here the family members of the victim are living under the shadow of fear. The family alleged that the attitude of the local police was not right regarding the matter. The police reached the victim’s house at around 9 pm on Thursday night and asked her to go to the police station along with her parents, although the family members refused to accompany the police.

Police accused of filing FIR by changing application
The relatives say that in the given application, there is talk of rape of the victim by the sweeper. In the application this matter was pressed by the school’s Sudha madam and Sharmila madam. At the same time, even after the headmaster was aware of the whole matter, an attempt was made to cover up the matter.

It is alleged that instead of the application received during the protest, the police of Zeromile OP has registered an FIR on another application. It has been written about the attempt to rape the victim. Police have started further action by registering a case under three sections and POSCO Act.

Accused sweeper and headmaster arrested
