BHIWANDI: A day after PVR Haseen Theatre stopped screening of The Kashmir Files on Saturday, it said it would screening it from Sunday after BJP and RSS workers protested.
On Friday evening, during the first day of the show, it stopped the movie, due to a technical fault.
When the audience created a ruckus and police were called in, the film resumed but subsequent shows were cancelled. The cinema-lovers who got angry protested inside, due to which Nizampura police rushed there to control the situation. It claimed it gave a refund to those who booked tickets. On Saturday BJP workers met a PVR representative and senior police officials, after which PVR decided to screen the movie.
Santosh Shetty, BJP’s Bhiwandi district president, said, “At the meeting the PVR representative did not disclose the reason for stopping the screening but after our protest they promised to show it from Sunday.”
