PGI in Chandigarh and other private hospitals across Punjab have stopped treating patients free under the “Ayushman scheme” started by Punjab government as the hospitals give out the reason of the government not paying them the money remaining which would be used in free treatment. As a result, numerous patients have been suffering from the hospital expenses.
