Punjab is restless these days in the leadership of the Congress. The reason is former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu coming out of Patiala Central Jail. Because Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has not only talked about giving Sidhu a big responsibility, but has also invited him to attend the Srinagar rally.

This is the reason why the biggest issue these days in Punjab Congress is who is the real Congressman. Navjot Singh Sidhu’s release from Patiala Central Jail on January 26 is believed to be fixed. Due to this, apart from family members, many leaders of Punjab Congress are reaching to meet Sidhu.

It is well known that during Sidhu’s stay in the Punjab Congress, two factions remained in the party and even now the same picture is in front. As a result, questions are being raised by the old leadership that who is the real Congressman.

Told Rahul Gandhi – Don’t parachute people
Whether Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warding, Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa or Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, all have asked Rahul Gandhi to keep outsiders away from the party on the lines of parachutes for a strong party structure. Pratap Singh Bajwa has spoken of seeing only Rahul Gandhi as the face of the Prime Minister in the year 2024 elections. Apart from this, Raja Wading and Sukhjinder Randhawa along with Bajwa have also given instructions to avoid outsiders who have harmed the party.

Old Congress leaders did not get place in the cabinet
He was also part of the Punjab cabinet after Navjot Singh Sidhu, Pargat Singh and Manpreet Singh Badal became part of the Punjab Congress. Due to this, the old faces of Congress kept away from the cabinet and anger was also seen in them. Pargat Singh was given a place in the Punjab cabinet even when Captain Amarinder Singh left the post of CM from Congress and Channi became the CM. Even today there is resentment within the Punjab Congress for giving big responsibility to outsiders.
