Question: Nirbhaya-like cruelty happened to the girl in Alwar, Priyanka Gandhi did not speak, does she not see the crimes of Rajasthan?
answer: It is wrong to say that crimes are not visible. Crime is a crime, but how seriously the police and administration take action after the incident is important. We have instant investigation of rape cases. The government makes provision for speedy punishment.

The amount of condemnation of the Alwar incident is less. Those who do such cruelty should be thrown out of the category of human beings. The culprits of this incident will be caught and punished soon. Our ministers have gone there. Crime can happen anywhere, but how quickly we can bring justice to the victim, the focus should be on it.

Question: How much work has progressed in the party on the issues raised by you, after the cabinet reshuffle, the situation is being told as it is?
answer: The issues we have are between us and the party high command. Our issue is that in Rajasthan for more than 30 years, once the Congress has been the practice of the BJP government, it has to be changed. When the Congress government can be formed thrice in Delhi, it can be formed thrice in Assam. If the government can be formed in Andhra, it can be formed again in Haryana, then why can’t the government be formed again in Rajasthan?

When elections are held under our government, sometimes we come to 50 and sometimes at 21. To break that convention, we have to do something different, in that context I mentioned a few things. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi together have taken positive steps on it. The steps taken so far are in the right direction. We have to work in that direction, so that after 22 months, the people’s blessings will reach the Congress.

Question: In three years, there is a danger of anti-incumbency wave, how will you deal with this challenge?
answer: We have to break the convention of three decades. The Congress has got a majority in the recent by-elections, municipal and panchayat elections. BJP’s bail has been forfeited at many places. Still, we should not take the opposition lightly. The organization and the government are actively working together. The cabinet has expanded. There was no Dalit minister in the cabinet, the high command and the government have made three Dalit cabinet ministers for the first time.

Our suggestions have been taken seriously and acted upon by the party high command, which is welcome. Now in further political appointments also, we should give participation and respect to those party workers who worked to surround the BJP with 165 MLAs while in power. Such people should get due participation and respect. Now this work should be done soon, as only 22 months are left for the elections.

Question: Don’t you think that political appointments got delayed due to tussle, many posts would have got second appointment by now?
answer: I agree with you. Had these appointments been done earlier, we could have given opportunity to two workers at the same place. Whatever happened earlier, now we have to look ahead. In future, attention will have to be paid on how we can encourage people by adjusting. Motivation is not only from the position, not everyone can even get the position, but keep hand on the worker’s back, give him encouragement, it is the responsibility of all of us leaders.

Question: Where do you find faults in the government-organisation, where you have problems?
answer: Whatever I have to say, I keep telling the party leadership from time to time. Was president here for six and a half years, gained a lot of experience. What is in the interest of the party, I talk freely on the party forum. Our aim is the same that how the government should be repeated. Let us do something different that the government repeats itself.

Question: What is your role going to be next, since many days there were speculations about giving you the post?
answer: What will be my role, this party will decide. I have fulfilled the responsibility given by the party for 20 years with all my might. When given the responsibility, I take it to the logical end, it is my habit to understand it whatever it is now. In whichever state I am sent, I work there with all my strength. I preach out loud. I am happy that the party sends me to different states for campaigning. My first priority is that the government can be formed again in Rajasthan.

Question: If the organization gets the responsibility outside Rajasthan or at the central level, then you will leave Rajasthan, how will you cater to the supporters?
answer: The question of leaving Rajasthan does not arise. Whatever our status is today, it is our personality, it is the blessings of the people of this region, this state. We got everything from here. All are the blessings of the people of Rajasthan. From here we go by getting elected, whatever position, respect, honor and respect we have got has been received from Rajasthan itself, here the question of leaving does not arise. If given any work outside for the party, he never hesitated.

Question: Recently, you were seen in Captain’s uniform, will there be a chance to show in Captain’s agility party or will it go on like this?
answer: I have always been doing party work, public is our strength. No matter how big the post, if you do not have support among the people, you are not able to create emotion among the people, you are not able to show your solidarity, then that post is also of no use. I consider people as my parents. I will always be grateful to the people of Rajasthan who have showered me with love and blessings every moment.

Question: There was talk of visiting your state, whether the intention was changed or deferred under the strategy?
answer: He who walks, he grazes, this is a proverb. We have always lived among the people. Now the wave of corona period has arrived, so it is necessary to take precaution in a responsible manner. As soon as the restrictions of Corona are lifted, they will go to the field again. It is very important for a public representative to be among the people, it gives feedback. Fixing the issues just by reading the paper cannot reach the right issues.

Reality comes to know when going in the field. To know the reality, one has to go to the ground, sometimes criticism has to be tolerated. It is very important to maintain a dialogue, contact with the public. Leaders also get their strength from that.
