Now ITBP jawan shot and committed suicide in Udhampur: first shot three comrades, then committed suicide

An ITBP jawan on Saturday shot himself after shooting three of his comrades in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur. He died in the incident while all three fellow jawans were injured. The police is investigating the matter

The incident happened around 3 pm. The deceased jawan has been identified as Bhupendra Singh. He was presently posted in the 8th Battalion of ITBP. All the injured jawans have been admitted to the hospital, where they are out of danger.

Third such incident in 5 days
This is the third such incident in the last 5 days, when a security force jawan shot himself dead. On July 15 in Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir and on July 11 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, the jawan shot himself.

Army jawan had fired on his 4 comrades
On July 15, an Army jawan opened fire on four of his comrades in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Two jawans were killed in the incident, while two other jawans were injured. The incident took place in the 156 Territorial Army Battalion located in the Surankot area.

Jawan shot himself after not getting leave in Jodhpur
On July 11, Jawan Naresh Jat shot himself at the CRPF’s Recruit Training Center at Paldi Khichian, Jodhpur, Rajasthan after not getting leave. He died on the way to the hospital. Naresh also tried to pressure the family by holding them hostage for 18 hours before shooting himself.
