The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has postponed the class 10 and class 12 October-November 2023 exams in Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The secondary and senior secondary courses in the two states have been deferred due to the upcoming legislative assembly elections, reported Indian Express. The exams that were scheduled to be conducted on November 7 in Raipur and Guwahati will now be conducted on November 9. The time of the exams and the test centres will remain the same, NIOS has notified.

Candidates who enrolled for the NIOS classes 10 and 12 exams can check the schedule from the official website, nios.ac.in. The institute will release the results 7 weeks after the last examination is conducted.

NIOS has already announced the On-Demand Exam (ODE) result 2023 for classes 10 and 12. Students who appeared in the ODE classes 10 and 12 exams for the August 2023 session can check their results at results.nios.ac.in. The NIOS conducted the On-Demand Examination from August 1 to 31 across various exam centres in the country.

Students who are not pleased with their scores can apply for re-evaluation of their answer sheets. Candidates should keep in mind that they can apply for re-evaluation for one or more subjects via a single application. Furthermore, the processing fee for re-evaluation is Rs 800 per subject (for Public Examination) and Rs 1,000 per subject (for On Demand Exam).

The mandatory fee for re-evaluation needs to be submitted via bank draft drawn in favour of the secretary, NIOS, which is payable at the city of the concerned regional centre. The secondary or class 10 students can only request rechecking as re-evaluation is not applicable to them. Students need to pay Rs 300 for rechecking. The re-evaluation fee for class 12 students is Rs 800. Rechecking for ODE for secondary and senior secondary students is Rs 300 while the re-evaluation fees for class 12 students is Rs 1,000. Those applying for the above should keep in mind that Rs 50 will be charged as an online processing fee.
