Union home minister Amit Shah said neither the K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS nor the Congress can develop Telangana but only the BJP under PM Narendra Modi

Union home minister Amit Shah said on Friday that the next chief minister of Telangana will be from the backward class. Amid slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, the senior BJP leader urged people of the state to vote for “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government” in the upcoming assembly elections.

Addressing the ‘Jana Garjana Sabha’ in Suryapet, Shah said neither the K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS nor the Congress can develop Telangana but only the BJP. “I want to tell people of Telangana that neither Sonia ji’s Congress nor KCR’s TRS (BRS) will bring development to the state as these parties believe in dynasty politics. Only the BJP under Prime Minister Modi can help the state. Sonia ji wants to make Rahul the prime minister while KCR wants to make KTR (KT Rama Rao) the chief minister,” he said.

He added: “The only aim of the Congress and the TRS (BRS) is parivaar kalyan… they cannot take Telangana forward.”
