The MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) has identified such houses and buildings in the capital, where there may be any risk or untoward incident due to rain.
MCD has also prepared a list of such buildings, in which it has been told that it is necessary to repair the dilapidated houses and buildings.
MCD has included more than 375 houses and buildings in the capital’s list of risks. It has also been told that these houses and buildings need to be demolished or repaired.
MCD officials have given information about the damaged houses and buildings. He has told that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has prepared this list on the instructions of Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.
Untoward Incidents can happen anytime
Officials said that the MCD has surveyed the dilapidated buildings. The survey revealed that the structures of 112 houses in Sadar-Paharganj and 101 in the Civil Lines area are in a dangerous condition.
Their building can collapse at any time and any untoward incident can happen.
Last month, the Lieutenant Governor directed the NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Corporation) and MCD to identify buildings that collapsed in Delhi due to rain.
