Modi In Goa: PM Inaugurates ONGC Sea Survival Centre, India Energy Week 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the ONGC Sea Survival Centre at Betul village in South Goa. After that Modi unveiled India Energy Week 2024. Apart from unveiling several important projects, he will lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 1,330 crores in the Viksit Goa 2047 programme. The prime minister at 10:30 am inaugurated ONGC Sea Survival Centre and at 10:45 am he launched the India Energy Week 2024. Modi also attended a demo of sea survival training and safety drills.

As per to a statement by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), ONGC Sea Survival Centre is developed as a cutting-edge Integrated Sea Survival Training Centre. This facility is set to elevate India’s sea survival training ecosystem to global standards, with the capacity to train 10,000-15,000 personnel annually.

The India Energy Week 2024 aimed to achieve self-reliance in energy requirements. The event, scheduled from 6th to 9th February in Goa, is poised to be India’s largest and only comprehensive energy exhibition and conference.

According to the release, it will be India’s largest and only all-encompassing energy exhibition and summit, bringing together the entire energy value chain, and will serve as a catalyst for India’s energy transition goals. The PM will hold a roundtable with global oil & gas CEOs and experts.

The Energy Week will have six dedicated country pavilions, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, the UK, and the US. A special Make in India pavilion is also being organised to showcase innovative solutions which Indian MSMEs are spearheading in the energy sector.
