To buy a smartphone in UP’s Ghazipur, a minor kidnapped a 14-year-old girl student studying in class 9 and sold it to three boys for Rs 20,000. In this he took the help of one of his friends. Both the boys were working as laborers at the girl’s house.
Those who bought the student gang-raped her, then threw her into the Ganges and ran away. However, the fishermen rescued him and handed him over to the police. The police have arrested all the five accused. Of these, 4 are minors.
The minor came to work at the student’s house
The work of the house of the victim student is going on. When a mason working at his place fell ill, he sent his minor son to do the work. The boy wanted to buy a smartphone, but had no money. When he went to work, he saw the student and made a plan to kidnap her.

The main accused abducted the girl student with the help of his minor friend. Took him on a bike to Chaubepur in Varanasi and sold it to three of his friends. Two of these buyers are also minors. The main accused who sold the girl came back to Ghazipur with his friend after taking money from the buyers.
Gangraped in the field, thrown from the bridge
The three accused gang-raped the girl in a wheat field on the side of the highway in Varanasi. Kept roaming around with him throughout the day. Late night they threw the girl down from the Ganga bridge with the intention of killing her.
The victim narrated the ordeal to the family
The treatment of the victim girl student is going on in Varanasi. He told the family members – I was going to coaching on 5th March. Then I found both the boys working at home on the way. When I started leaving from there, those people stopped me and forced me to sit on the bike. Threatened to kill for shouting.
I didn’t know, where are they taking me? After about 2-3 hours they stopped at one place. There were already 3 people standing there. Both the youths took money from all three and then left me there. I kept stopping them, but they did not stop.
After which the three boys forcibly took me to a field. There all three made relations with me. They didn’t stop even after I refused. After having a relationship, I don’t know where they took me from the bike. After that they fed me something, after which I fainted. When I woke up, I was in the hospital.
The accused said – there was no money to buy mobile, so kidnapped
The minor accused told the police – A friend of mine has bought a smartphone. I also wanted to have such a phone. At home, I asked my father for money, but he refused. We are not even rich enough. Father’s health had deteriorated a few days ago.
Papa was doing the work of building a house at that time. When his health deteriorated, I had to go to work there. I was going to that house since 3rd March. That’s where I saw this girl. After which I along with my friend made a plan of kidnapping.
The girl student was kidnapped on March 5
The girl was abducted and raped on March 5. The girl was not able to speak due to her critical condition. After 1-2 days when the condition improved, the girl told the whole incident to the family members. After this, on March 12, the family members filed a case against 5 people.
Police arrested 4 minors and one adult accused on March 14. The age of the minor accused is between 16-17 years. All four were sent to a child reform home, the adult accused has been sent to jail.
All the five accused involved in this entire incident are residents of Ghazipur. They work in building construction, electrician and contract labour. Two of these accused had gone to the victim’s house to do construction work. At the same time, these people had made a plan to kidnap the victim.
Information about the incident was received on March 6.
The family of the victim student told – We were searching for the girl when she went missing. We were inquiring about him from friends and relatives, but nothing was found. On March 6, it was reported that the girl had been admitted to the hospital. When we reached there, we came to know about the incident.
