Former deputy CM Manish Sisodia is under ED remand for a week till March 17 in the liquor policy case.

The Delhi government on Wednesday extended the old excise policy by 6 months. Along with this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has asked the officers to make a new policy. Under the old policy, Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Buddha Purnima, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid al-Adha have been declared as dry days.

Earlier, after the allegations of scams on the Delhi government and the CBI investigation, the 2021-22 policy has been withdrawn in September. Explain that at present there are 570 liquor retail stores in Delhi and more than 950 hotels, restaurants and clubs have license to serve liquor.

Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is in ED remand in jail
Former deputy CM Manish Sisodia is under ED remand for a week till March 17 in the liquor policy case. However, the agency had sought a 10-day remand of the former Delhi Deputy CM. The court is now going to hear Sisodia’s bail plea on March 21 at 2 pm. Please inform that ED had arrested Sisodia in Tihar Jail itself in the money laundering case.

ED interrogates Telangana CM’s daughter
In this case, ED has also interrogated Kavitha, daughter of Telangana CM KCR. Kavita was summoned for March 9. On this, Kavita had sought a week’s time from the agency. Kavita had also said that she would cooperate fully in the investigation. Earlier on December 12 also, CBI had interrogated Kavita for about 7 hours in Hyderabad.
